Looking for name of low budget time travel movie.?

Guy builds time machine using a metal box in a self storage unit(like those you see built in a row).He tells a co-worker/friend and both of them use it by climbing in & setting a alarm clock to go off at the right time.They’ve both seen movies about time travel so they know the rules(in the movies) but can’t help themselves and try to change something…BIG MISTAKE!Things start going wrong. Didn’t get to see how it ended or the movie’s name.Can you help me?Remember very low budget and it looks like it was made in ether America or Canada.Both men wear dress suits like those worn in offices.

You may be thinking fo the movie Primer. Shot for $7500. Won a few awards. I think they accidentally build a time machine in someones garage. Confusing ending.
