How to solve hearing loss of one ear?

My right ear has lost some hearing. In the morning my ear is completely closed. Not able to hear an alarm clock. It opens once I start my day, however, if I take a nap I wake up with no hearing again until I begin the day again. If I use the telephone while this is occurring, I can hear fluid moving through my eardrum. At night before bed, it begins to close on its own and then completely when I lay down, no matter which side I choose to lay on. I had this problem before with my left ear but that was because my tonsils were swollen. This time no inflammation in my tonsils, yet still temporary hearing loss in just the right ear. Tried to ‘pop’ open my ear my using the palm of my hand. It just causes my ear to ache. Been going on like this for weeks. I’m trying to ignore it, however, its getting annoying. Any help is appreciated.

When I used to go to the beach when i was little, I would get water in my ear. I’d have the same sensations. And trying to “pop” my ear wouldn’t help.

My aunt would take hydrogen peroxide lay me down on one side and pour a little tab full (as much as the top that closes it) in my ear. She would use a Q-Tip to help it in. I’d lay there for about a minute and when it would go in She told me to get up and put my head kinda sideways so that it would drain. It came out all hot and i would wait. If i felt there was still some in there I’d jump twice with my head still face sideways towards the floor. You can try this because it ALWAYS helped.

They also use this method at the Doctors when they’re trying to get rid of a lot of nasty wax…
