Solution Alarm Manual
Multiple car problems.?
I have a ’99 Chrysler Cirrus. I have a few minor problems I’d like to know the best solution to fix them, and on my own if I can. My dome light fades in and out upon opening/closing the doors. Sometimes it doesnt come on at all, or does so after opening another door. Any reason it is doing this? Driver side door lock is manual while the rest is electric.. is there a electric part i need to replace to get it to sync up with the others, or could the problem be worse? How can I tell if there is a factory alarm on the car? if i replace the timing belt, what other stuff should i get replaced while getting that done? also heater/ac blows only on high..nothing else. I dont know much about cars, please help.
The interior light issue is probably a bad switch so pick up a new switch from the dealership and try each door switch one at a time.
Look in the fuse box in the vehicle for relays mentioning the electric lock system and try switch them around to see if anyone of them is faulty. If it’s not a relay it means probably taking the door panel off and checking the wiring etc going to the locking system.
I’d change the transmission fluid and filter once getting the timing belt done but be sure to use the right factory recommend parts and fluids.
The heater blower problem is a resistor that connects to the blower motor it’s faulty.
Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way you may want to pick up a service manual for that vehicle.
