just bought an Elantra. How can I disable the car alarm?

The first time I took it home, there was no alarm. But now it appears that every time I open the trunk or door, the alarm starts. Then I wait 5 seconds, press the button and shuts off. I do not want to deal with an alarm every time I open the door or trunk. My parents never had a car with an alarm so Don''t know. In my key, there is a red alarm button, a lock, and unlock button. It's confusing. Help!

Do not have a manual that comes with it? I would go talk to the dealer who checked it out. Its your responsibility
