MY cable modem wont connect to the net…?

I recently formatted my hard disk and reinstalled windows xp. It’s a real version (genuine) but now my modem isnt allowing me to connect to the net. It was working fine at first then i installed zone alarm and it stopped letting me connect. When i uninstalled zone alarm, the net is still limited or no connectivity on my local area connection and i cant renew my ip addy normally because it wont let me.

This could be kinda complicated. If you have a static IP, then you need to input that. If it is a dynamic IP, then don’t worry about it. Since the issue seems to revolve around Zone Alarm, then maybe you can do a system restore back to when you first reinstalled windows. Also, you might want to check the registry to make sure all instances of Zone Alarm got deleted. If none of those work, you should call Time Warner.
