How can I stop the habit of sleeping through my alarm?

I’ve went to desperate measures and began to use an extra loud alarm clock, my DS alarm, an old alarm, AND my cell phone alarm set at the same time. When it activates it can be heard throughout the house. It wakes up everybody but me. My mom calls me lazy and everyone starts to hate me. I know i’m not a lazy person but everybody thinks i am. i also have slight hearing problems, but it’s not confirmed. Is there a solution to this?

There are alarm clocks you can get that actually flash a light. If lights turning on bother you this may be a good alternative. The one thing I have heard about these that are not so helpful though is that its more of a progressive wake up rather than immediate. Another thing you could try is to set your cell phone on vibrate and set it under your pillow. Try setting it to go off every 5 minutes or so and set it to start about 5 minutes before another alarm. a combination of things may be good but if its all the same noise you will eventually ignore it.
