How can I get the bar code to control a Rover 620 remote?

My car is reg No and no remote control central locking / Alarm.I bought on E-Bay right but a Rover specialist tells me I need a bar code to the vehicle code and there is one. In the pack car there is a "Key Fob Number", which refers to a number of protection national registry.

If you have a number of key ring then you should not need the bar code. As far as I can remember that just opened the driver's door with the key and press the dimples on the remote button 4 times in quick succession sync the fob in the car.
