Do you ever try not to be a gay stereotype?

I’m gay, but most people don’t know until I tell them, or after they see my Hello Kitty alarm clock (you’re jealous and you know it). I do like the Spice Girls, and I was in 3 musicals in high school. But there are times I try to hide the stereotypes because I don’t want to be a stereotype of any group. Is that wrong of me?
