Just bought a new car .. alarm type of question ..?

Ok, so I just bought a 2003 XR6 model. It is the best car Ive ever driven. Its incredible. The thing is I only have a control that opens the door and starts / turns off the alarm. I have also a key and a spare key, but I mean, what happens if I lose control and the alarm goes off? Am I able to turn it off by putting the key in the car and unlocking? Furthermore, what if I get another check? How I do this? Can I go to a normal keycutter and have them make a new one or go to a Ford dealer or what? Thanks in advance for any response.

A key can be made by a dealer, (and some locksmith) using the VIN number to determine the cut of the key. Your password must open the door and turn off the alarm by inserting the proper key in glass and turn the ignition. if you have the keybob or not.
