Can anyone advise?

When you access the Internet from my computer, I get a message from a "company" trying to buy your software Virus Block. It started as a pop (I guess). Now every time that something of access, the message appears in the corner indicating that I have a virus threat. It asks if I want to block or allow. If I choose allow, it disappears after passing through a list of potential virus and virus infected sites. If I choose to block, I diverted to your website where you want to buy the software. How can I do about it? It's annoying because it appears soemtimes with an alarm or flashing lights and gets in the way of my reading, homework, etc. How can I make it go away? Thank you!

First install Spybot: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html You will have to upgrade then do an analysis to get rid of spyware. Do not forget to immunize your system with Spybot. Also, make sure you have all updates Windows. Go to Start – All Programs – Windows Update and choose a good idea to scan the computer with free anti-virus protection Active Virus Shield (http://www.activevirusshield.com/antivirus/freeav/index.adp ?) If that's not enough that you should look what running in the background.
