iphone question…..

i just got an iphone today then my friend has my other phone with the same phone #. my mom calls me says that before when i diddnt answer it said that this person (me) has not setup his mailbox yet. i had a voice message on that phone then i got a iphone and my mom calls me back. the call goes through. now my battery is dead and it wont turn on from charge. my friend is using my other phone which is turned on. he is using it so he can set a alarm. both phones are the same phone #. Is that the reason why my phone wont turn on?
i think im plugging it in right. i plugged the white square thing in the plug in and then the usb into it then the fat cord connected to my phone. its not saying charging its just turned off. but maybe its because my friend has the other phone with the same # turned on.
is that why mine wont turn on?

It should not matter whether or not someone with the same number is using a different phone or not, regarding your devices battery life. I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to have your friend using another phone with the same number, because the calling situation can be pretty bonkers. Try charging the phone for a bit longer, maybe it was drained completely.
