Is there a trick to stop the anti theft alarm and start the car?

My battery died on my 97 vw golf, i recharged it but everytime i hook it up or have someone jump start me it starts going off. I cant start the car. Is there anyway to get by this?

put the key in the ignition and turn it back twice. it will shut off then. Have you tried www.michiganvw.org or www.vwvortex.com
