getting stuck in a elevator,first thing to do?

whenever you get stuck in a elevator, while working late hours at work, and if there is no security personal in the building, what is the first thing to do..
what happens,in general, if you push the FIRE ALARM button in the elevator,
does it call any fire service/911 ,by pushing the button

There is a button for emergency/help NOT the fire alarm in MOST elevators so push that and usually some person will talk to you. If there is not one and no one else is in the building then call the police department? I think it is illegal to push a firm alarm if there is no fire…so just call the police if there is no emergency/help button.
