how to fix my alarm on an ford escort encore 1994?

hi erm i have got a ford escort 1994 encore it is a good car not the most respected but itl do but the problem is that the alarm has broken and i am not fermiliar with them it doesent do anything it is supsed to bleep 6 times but it doesent as i said it is a 1994 encore wich where not fitted with central locking crazy when you look at all the wireing they put there :/.
i forgot to say i cant find the blleper in the bonnet is it missing it just has what lookes like a plastic bung that was factory fitted to save costs
hi people i spelt it wrong sorry me and my rubbish spelling i meant bleeper it the thing that bleeps but i havent reset it and i havent even checked the red light that flashes so thanks for those sugestion poeple
does anybody nkow if any of the encore fiesta or escorts have alarms is it possible the previose owner tried fitting one???

I had a 94 escort encore and although it had a alarm it did not bleep when you set it, you activated it by locking the car and there was nothing to tell you that it was working. If you opened the boot or passenger door without unlocking the drivers door the alarm would sound. If you open the bonnet you should see a switch sticking up (looks like a door courtesy switch) if you press this up and down rapidly it should sound the alarm i was shown this at a main Ford dealer. Also if you think the alarm doesn’t work look in the drivers footwell on the right hand side underneath the trim you will see a plug with lots of wires going to it, unplug this and Connect it up again this used to get mine working again, hope this helps
