Purplegurl, why would yo want to leave your computer switched on when you leave? That is just tempting providence and inviting people to ‘have a go’ on your machine. if it is password protected, then switch the thing off when you leave the room or whatever. When I leave this room, I always make sure that my machine is switched off. But, there are programs that do this sort of thing, you must be a very trusting person and you must have lots of trustworthy people around you to want to do this. I have forgotten the name of the program that allows you to do this as a security measure, but there are simple and costless ways of securing your machine, like passwords on start up. It always helps if you include a number, (maybe several numbers) within the password as it is harder for anyone to break.
