Parents, how difficult it is their community of being beaten by the economic downturn?

I know that most of us are struggling as families, but what about your community, city or county in which to live? Here is a school district, parks and recreation, libraries, utilities, small businesses, and something I just found out … the police force. (I can not imagine …. more alarming is the fact that I had stolen a package outside my front porch front, or the fact that when I went to report the incident, finding out that our police station is now open only 3 days a week, LOL). So that what about your community? What services are being eliminated or severely reduced? Oh, to shoot the whole child / parent thing in the mix, the level knowledge are the children of any of these budget cuts? Do you argue with them? They do not realize it themselves? Thank you. Well, I think what has taken place. Our town recently decided to sell its parking garages to the authority pentions put money in the fireman (who had done something with it and were not able to put it back now because of the recession) So come next November, my father, the law will be out of a job as it was in the management of parking garages.
