VW Golf III 95 2.0 automatic?

I bought a 95 Golf this weekend off of craigslist to find out its a pos. The guy said he deleted codes and now I can not start, after reading I saw that there is a problem with the alarm system in these cars, my brother and I are trying to find ways to stop the alarm to start the car, we've been starting the clinoid sparks, that's the only way to start it, buy a manual, but no picture or an indication where to find the alarm control unit. Does anyone know what I can do?

control box of the alarm can be in the back seat. can be disconnected there. or you can block then open the driver's side door with the key in the lock were to disarm.
