My car alarm is preventing me to start my car!?

I had some wires that go from the battery to the rear of the car when a sound system had caught up. Recently, the sound system is sold, but the wires were still live out in the trunk. We ripped the wires, and disconnected battery after doing what the car would not start? Any ideas? We disconnected the battery and restarted an alarm system that had taken years ago in the car (we have remote control over). Is there a way to disconnect the alarm from ourselves?

Check with the dealer, is probably a starter cut and a body cut the wrong cable.
