I have a landline for non-use of voice. Alarm Etc Can I use a traditional phone service like Vonage?

Are there other companies? I pay about $ 30 a month with ATT. It sounds ridiculous. Our main landline phone with the cable company, but cannot add this line electric as it is pushed and the alarm must be independent of the electrical service. Any ideas? I will save $ $? Thank you!

Vonage and other services VoIP does not work with your alarm system. Change your service to a measurement line. You only pay for calls out and the alarm would be negligible. In Oregon saves about $ 11 per month. Also make sure you do not have all the characteristics of the line, like a pack of stupid! N
