Your vehicle’s being stolen what should you do?

I live in a high crime area.. and in an apartment complexe.. I am considering putting an alarm on ym vehicle that pages me if someone is trying to steal it rather than setting off the alarm.. but let’s say I go down to chekc my vehicle and it’s NOT a flas alarm and I meet up with a criminal criminals.. I live in san diego.. should I get a handgun? Is that legal to take a handgun out in that situation? Or shoudl I take a cell phone reayd to call the cops and some pepper spray?

Wire it up to the battery or something like that so it will SHOCK THE
S H I T OUT OF THEM when they touch it!!! One of those mini tasers and some strong pepper spray would be a good idea!!
