alarm training

Security guards must know that working as a mobile patrol officer can be dangerous and even fatal in some cases. I've done my time as a patrol officer Sydney endangered places and learn quickly how to assess each situation very quickly attend. I only wish that this training is included as part of a course security guards, because most of the guards have no idea how to attend an alarm activation safely.

In my company was used radio code for when another security guard needs emergency backup and attend the nearest official response. This is one of the moments on in responding to the urgent call of code.

Mobile Patrol

Mobile patrol officers will patrol assigned each Time which includes a number of clients and the number of visits each want. These are known as beats, the number of times you go to a site and inspect it.

Sometimes you will be responsible for the control room to attend an alarm activation a customer site in your area or if you are the nearest available official phones.

Activation of the alarm

He sent the control room, mobile patrol officer through an activation alarm response and requested a site inspection as soon as possible. The patrol officer recognized the task and changed his address to respond. As is the case for long periods of driving and night shifts can be combined a little tired and slow to notice unusual occurrences. You just want to get the change more and get home to sleep.

Mobile on-site response

The officer attending the radio and reached the control room after throughout the protocol for activation. The guard can see that the building seems secure in his vehicle and outputs for a closer look. The building is a standard type of office building with a metal fence surrounding the storage yard. It seemed that he had done some gardening have long grass was a foot high and the nearby bushes irregular looking.

The mobile patrol guard found the door and saw that it was safe. A quick look with his torch in the surrounding area was clear. He radioed to check that everything was fine. After checking the alarm system was approved and sent back to complete their patrol route.

False alarm again

Around midnight the control room staff called back and instructed him that the alarm has been activated again at the customer site before and can go check it out. Thinking about how it would be a long night turned around and returned to the client site.

Upon his arrival he found with the same situation as the building seemed secure. He quickly got out of his vehicle and went to the door to a physical check. Yet tried pushing the door torch was closed and showed no signs of intruders.

Returning to his vehicle passed by appearing as a false alarm activation, because nothing has changed. Control of recognized and cleared the site.

Irritating waste of time alarm

In 0200 the guards About Mobile received another call from radio control to advise the same alarm that had activated again so he could go and check. They suggested that this was a false alarm and must be ignored.

He responded to the alarm and arrived at the site again. Nothing had changed and wanted to clear this site for your run down. Walk quickly to the front door, extended her arm to push the door.

Mortal Strike

Moving quickly from the jungle near the door a man hit with a bottle of VB beer down the throats of the guards and turned to face her attacker. The offender pushed the security guard at the door and pinned him in place while stab in the throat several times more complete break the glass bottle.

The guard fell to the ground clutching his throat, while the attacker started to break into the building.

I arrived just in time

The injured security officer only has time enough to make the emergency code for assistance. As I was the nearest official attending took the call and went to the site.

Found the guard on the floor near his vehicle and left the blood loss. Provide first aid and then called an ambulance after he was stabilized him.

What happened

The security guard had come to meet lazy a number of alarm activations from the same site and had assumed that the alarms were false and errors. His radio protocols and search techniques had become company procedures tired and failed.

The offender had been around all the time and the time had been the response time pushing the door guards alarmed until then move away to see how long the guard took to get there.

The offender also watched as the guard checked the building and decided wait for the guard to sleep and do their attack.

What I learned

Upon reaching the alarm activation to treat everyone equally and a high level of risk until you know all the facts. You also need to change their patrol and search techniques so that it is harder to predict their movements.

Always check areas of concealment before approaching all doors or openings
