How can I train myself to hear my alarm in the morning?

Every single morning, no matter how much sleep I get, I won’t hear the alarm that I set. I usually have to have someone wake me up in order for me to get out of bed. And there have been other times where I do get up to the alarm, but other people in my household said it was ringing for over 20 minutes. How can I train myself to wake up to the sound of my alarm?

You might have to switch to a clock with a different, more piercing sound. If you can find one of the old-fashioned ones that rings using two big bells on top and a hammer, those will get you out of bed in a couple of seconds.
