Has anyone heard of Fidelity Security Inc. – International Savings Grant Notice?

I received a check saying he had a grant energy savings of U.S. $ 4925.20 for a grant of $ 38,000.00. Control of 4925.20 to pay the contributions needed to receive the final amount. Is not it funny sen't cash a check, and I wan't to send them a payment to cover fees and taxes? I be alarmed? The third check is Furniture Leisters hand, apparently from a list of donors that the mass gap cosists, Blockbuster, Walmart and other big companies. I suppose to call a manager claims, before cashing your check. Well from what I've heard of your answers I will call the police and see what steps should I take to warn others. I'm glad I stayed with my gut and did not try to cash the check! Thanks everyone!

SCAM SCAM SCAM – a variant of this scam has the check from Bed Bath and Beyond. You can read the warnings FTC has issued against the granting of these "companies: http://www http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2004/03/grantresources.htm. Here ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt134.htm is also one of the warnings issued by the Better Business Bureau http://www.concord.bbb.org/tips_timesharescams.html Yes, you should be alarmed. I suggest you ignore it, throw it in the trash check and not think about it again. The grants are not subject to that. Grants are free, but it means obligation. You are required to do what the grant proposes to do. Grants have objectives, and its purpose must comply with the objective of the grant. On the one hand, you have to write the grant application and grant application is not a simple document – you have to explain how your purpose for requesting the grant fits well with the objectives set by the grant. There is a rigorous review process through a committee. You compete with other applicants for grant money, and the grant committee to evaluate the merits of each proposal. Only those who feel exemplifies the objective of grant will be approved. You can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) and http://www.cfda.gov Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov – these are two sites created by the federal government to ensure transparency and information on scholarships. Browse through the list and see if you can find any grant to support its purposes. Even if you buy books on "how to get grants" or list that supposedly has information on grants – all of them are only repetition of what CFDA has, albeit packaged differently. Note however that these grants generally support non-profit organizations, intermediary credit institutions, and state and local governments. Most federal grants are awarded to specific groups with specific needs (eg minority business owners involved in transportation related contracts emanating from DOT – Grant # 20.905 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Loan Program Short Term. Especially to people for personal purposes are not eligible for federal grants. Business Grants are also often given to non-profits or organizations involved in training or other similar activities (grant of 59,043 women of Ownership of assistance to be given to those who will create women's center that will train business women entrepreneurs
