the car over heated a water line broke i replaced the line and took the distribute cap off and cleaned it out but the alarm keeps going off. whats wrong?

Im assuming your talking about the vehicles anti theft alarm.
Sometimes the alarm/siren units arent very water tight and the water can get in and cause havoc with them. You may me able to open the unit up and blow out with air or try using some electrical contact cleaner to move the moisture
