is the overwhelming lack of spelling and grammar in this forum alarming?

I realize that this is an international forum, and people who have learned English as a foreign language I use, and their use of English is not perfect. I do not care … I respect them for the learning of English … but I've really noticed, especially teenagers questions on this board, the spelling and grammar is really horrible! that is a bit alarming … this is an indication of the quality of the education of our children that we in North America? Where is the respect for the language? What is the point of having a language if not used correctly? maybe I'm being presumptuous … but I mean, come on people, there is even the spell check here …

Yes, grammar and spelling are alarming enough. Especially disappointing are the posters who criticize others, but apparently refuse to use capital letters at the beginning of sentences.
