How do I switch from AC power plug to an alarm that works when someone calls my home phone?

Right now I have no phone I only have your home phone, computer and Internet. I'm thinking about the payment of any weaking service. My cell phone has an alarm, but not enough. I have a timer that can be plugged into an AC outlet. Basically I need an AC converter to power electricity telephone where can I find and what name.
