My 6 year old has Precocious Puberty. Worried about brain tumors.?

My daughter has just been diagnosed with this condition. Her only symptoms are small breast buds, slight body odour and high estrogen levels. She is in the average range for height and weight, and looks and acts like any other health six year old. However, my GP told me that she need to be tested (amongst other things) for brain tumors or abnormalities and has referred me to a Pediatric Endocrinologist. You can imagine my alarm! She has not had any headaches or other symptoms of a tumor. Can anyone shed some more light on this condition, and/or share personal experience? Thank you.
My doctor seems most concerned as her estrogen levels are abnormally high. Approximately tenfold I was told. They have taken more bloods and results back in two days.

It’s good that your doctor is checking for all possibilities. But take a deep breath and try to let some of the anxiety go, as it may not be that serious. But you’d hate to miss something treatable.

My daughter began to show signs of puberty at 7. She was very tall, off the growth charts. She started to get breast buds, body odor, pubic and underarm hair. I took her to her pediatrician, who poo-poo’d my concerns, telling me that her pubic hair wasn’t really public hair. I knew she was wrong, but I decided there was very little that I was going to do about it anyway. When I took her back when she was 9, the doctor looked at her and said, “Oh, my she is well into puberty.” To which I wanted to say, “Duh!”. As it turns out, she was simply a very early bloomer. She started her periods at 10. At the time, she was already about 5’4 1/2″ (at 10) … She is now almost 5’9″. Girls aren’t supposed to grow more than two inches or so after they start their periods, so she continues to fool them. At 16, she’s doing well and very healthy. The other girls have caught up to her.
